About Us
College Drive Urgent Care is an urgent care clinic that opened its doors on January 19, 2009, in response to the Cheyenne community and surrounding area’s need for an alternative to the ER and for waiting more than a day to see a primary care provider.
The urgent care industry is a rapidly growing service in healthcare, in part due to public demand fueled by rising out-of-pocket costs of the patient, along with underserved communities with regard to urgent care services. College Drive Urgent Care focuses on acute episodic care with a substantial emphasis on the whole patient experience. The clinic emphasizes walk-in or same day appointment care, offering extended hours seven days a week, with expanded services to include: on-site X-ray and laboratory; substantial point-of-care diagnostic testing; the ability to repair lacerations and splint bone fractures; the ability to provide intravenous fluids; and other minor trauma treatment. These services are those for which many primary care offices would refer a patient to the emergency department.
The philosophy of College Drive Urgent Care is to give the patient who is ill or injured, quality care, in a pleasant office environment, as quickly as possible. |
