What to Expect

At College Drive Urgent Care we try to make your visit as easy as possible.  We understand that when you walk through our lobby door, you are not feeling well and we want to make the check-in process, visit with our provider, and check-out process as comfortable as we can.

Check-in:  We will always need a photo proof of identification and your current insurance card, if available.  If you do not have your insurance card, let us know what health insurance you have and we can call to get that information for many insurance plans.  A staff member will ask you to fill out a quick form If you have seen us before, you will not have to fill out the registration form but will be given a printout of your personal and insurance information and ask to update if there are changes.  If you are a member of an insurance plan that we are in-network with, we will need to collect any co-pays before you are seen.  We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.

Your Visit:  We try to get you in an exam room as quickly as possible to minimize any spread of contagious infections to you or others and so that you are more comfortable in a private area.  A staff member will take you to an exam room, will check your vital signs and get more information about why you are here to see us.  If necessary, they may also begin any diagnostic testing and/or X-rays so that the medical provider will have that information when he or she comes in the exam room to see you.  The provider will come in and examine you, order any necessary diagnostic tests, listen to your concerns about the reason you are here today, discuss any results of tests run today and the diagnosis and treatment plan for your illness or injury.

Check-out:  After you have finished your discussion with the provider and you do not have any more questions or concerns, a staff member will come to your exam room to escort you to the check-out area of the front office.  There you will be given any prescriptions, aftercare instructions, and/or work forms.

  • If you have not met your insurance deductible, have a co-insurance amount, or have an additional amount due after your visit with the provider, the front desk staff member will ask you how you would like to pay for your visit today.  Your payment will be immediately processed and you will receive a receipt for your payment.

  • We send your paperwork pertaining to today’s visit to our billing department, who in turn, will send the bill directly to your insurance.

  • If you have an insurance plan that considers us out-of-network, we will ask that you pay for your visit today and we will complimentary bill your insurance so that you will receive an Explanation of Benefits from them and instructions as to what is allowed.  If your visit is covered, your insurance will either issue a payment to us (which we will in turn refund you) or issue a payment directly to you.
